Story

Maggie Adams’s jewellery collection represents the emotional connection to environment we develop as we go about our lives. It’s about the tiny miracles we notice when we get the chance to go slow and look closely. Simple beauty. Little things that hold great meaning to us all in different ways, like collecting precious Pipi, as many a fond New Zealand memory made. Each piece will tell a story of its own, depending on how the wearer relates to it. Jewellery can be frivolous fun, but it can also be another way we express who we are and what we resonate with. My hope is that every person who wears my jewellery will find something in their piece that strengthens their story about what is important to them.

”It’s the tiny miracles we notice when we get the chance to go slow and look closely. Simple beauty. Little things that hold great meaning to us, like collecting precious Pipi”, as many a fond New Zealand memory was made.

Each piece will tell a story of its own, depending on how the wearer relates to it. Jewellery can be just for fun, but it can also be another way we express who we are and what we resonate with.

Maggie’s hope would be that by owning a piece form her jewellery collection the wearer can strengthen their connection to what is close to their heart, a way to honor and communicate the story of what is important to them.

Maggie grew up in Laingholm, West Auckland and moved North to complete a Bachelor of Applied Arts at North Tech, where she discovered her love for jewellery making. She lives and works in the beautiful beach side community of Ngunguru, located on the Tutukaka Coast of Northland, New Zealand. She lives with her great loves, husband Neil, daughter Bella, and son Jimmy. Lucky enough to be surrounded by extended family and great friends too, life is full.
